Starting from 20 January 2025 9:00 a.m., all SMS messages sent by EPS Company to local mobile services subscribers will use “Registered Sender IDs” with the prefix “#” including #EPS, #EPSHK, #EPS_OTP and #EPS_Promo, please refer to “Important Notice” and “FAQ” for more details.

To assist the public in verifying the identities of SMS senders, EPS Company (Hong Kong) Limited has joined the “SMS Sender Registration Scheme” launched by the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA). Starting from 20 Jan 2025 9:00 a.m., EPS will use the below "Registered SMS Sender IDs" with prefix "#” to send SMS to local mobile service subscribers in Hong Kong.

Please note that the Scheme is not applicable to two-way SMS of which the receiving party is expected to reply; or local subscribers of Single-Card-Multiple-Numbers / One-Card-Two-Numbers mobile service provided by non-Hong Kong operators.
Reminder: If you receive an SMS claiming to be from “EPS” but the Sender ID does not start with “#” and is not one of those listed above, please be vigilant. Do not reply to these SMSs, refrain from disclosing any personal or account information and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
