A.
General Use
(For EPS Company-issued POS Terminals)
Services provided by EPS Company
-
Delivery and installation of EPS Company-issued POS terminals
- Maintenance of EPS Company-issued POS terminals
- Removal of EPS Company-issued POS terminals from installation premises upon services termination
- Promotion label and stand
- User training
Merchant’s responsibilities
- Setup of telephone line (a normal line without any special function)/ broadband access and a 13M socket should be prepared at terminal installation site
- Debit card transaction fee with monthly minimum charge (whichever is higher)
- Monthly communication fee on terminal basis
- Sales slip
- If the EPS Service application is cancelled within 180 days from terminal installation date, an early return charge per terminal shall be levied
- A deposit shall be placed and will only be refunded after the agreement termination, subject to all outstanding charges and liabilities are settled (written notice of termination must be made at least 30 days in advance)
- For new merchant application, cancellation of the signed EPS Merchant Agreement by the merchant, prior to the installation of the terminal or activation of the service, will be subject to an administration charge per terminal
(For Bank-issued Approved Equipment/ Data Capture Terminals)

B. Exhibitions and Short-term Use

- Removal of EPS Company-issued POS terminals from installation premises upon services termination

- User training
Merchant’s responsibilities
- Setup of telephone line (a normal line without any special function)/ broadband access and a 13M socket should be prepared at terminal installation site
- The Merchant shall pay to EPS Company (i) a communication fee of HKD100 per EPS Service per event; (ii) a transaction commission at the rate of 1% on value of the transactions subject to a minimum charge of HKD500 per EPS Service per event
- A deposit of HKD5,000 per EPS Service per event is required to be paid to EPS Company and will only be refunded subject to all outstanding charges are settled
- Sales slips
- For new application, cancellation of EPS Service by the Merchant, prior to the activation of EPS Service, will be subject to an administration charge of HKD500 per EPS Service.
Remark:
- The provision of EPS Service per event shall not exceed 1 month but EPS Company may, at its discretion, extend the provision of EPS Service up to 3 months
- Applications shall be sent to EPS Company 14 working days before the date of activation of EPS Service (not include Saturday)
